ALBILAD Fire Fighting Systems Limited is the longest established Fire Protection Company in the Middle East and currently employs in excess of 150 people. In addition, DIN, BSI, FOC and other international standards are commonly used depending on customer's requirements.

  ALBILAD also utilizes several PC-resident programs to assist in the project engineering. These programs provide the ability to produce orderly well-laid out calculations. It has resident custom software for the purpose of calculating water, foam, carbon dioxide and FM-200 systems.

  Scheduling is achieved using the Timeline program, which was specifically developed to allow project management in the GANT & PERT formats. The program allows the user to identify the smallest units that comprise the total works to be committed. In each project elements of resources and man-hours necessary for completion of the project element are clearly defined. With this program, the project resources are allocated according to the resource available, extending the schedule as necessary to match the two Timeline allows frequent monitoring of progress based on customized reports on a regular basis.

Contract Control Systems are performed on in-house software. The program is called the Progress Reporting System and monitors projects to detect variances against project estimates. It spotlights the ordering progress to assure that the correct materials in the proper quantities have been ordered in accordance with the project schedule. The same database allows the monitoring of order confirmation and deliveries from suppliers.

  This ability quickly highlights potential delays, avoiding re-schedule of works, locating alternative approved suppliers or authorizing more expedient means of transport such as airfreight.

  ALBILAD also has other resident computer software to allow it to program EPROMS for the selection of panels, which are assembled. This allows program changes to be made after programmers have met with the project team and understand project requirements.

As a manufacturer, Albilad has long experience and knowledge of ISO-9000 Quality Control Systems as well as Quality Assurance Standards and Procedures which are implemented throughout its operation.

  Albilad maintains the longest fire protection equipment service organization in the Middle East. The department is manned by professional qualified service engineers and technicians who cover the entire Kingdom. The main service facility is located in Dammam 2nd Industrial City. Another facility established during 1993 in Abha to service the Southern Province of Saudi Arabia. Both facilities have full volumetric hydrostatic testing, recharging and refurbishment capabilities. A running spare parts inventory is maintained to assure rapid turn around for the customer.

  The service teams are fully equipped and carry their tools and spare parts in the service vehicles to assure that they are able to provide the customers with the best service facilities possible.

  All projects are managed under a quality plan, developed and executed in accordance with the ISO-9000 format. The plan as a minimum establishes the responsibility and authority of the Project Manager for implementing the project Quality System, the minimum acceptable level of quality, the steps to be taken to meet that level of quality, the minimum level of documentation to be submitted to verify compliance, inspection plans and procedure and disposition of non-conforming and work.
